If you go to the web-site, “My Bart’s Place.com”, you can read the article that was written on him in the Pet Gazette Newspaper, which tells how much he got into getting dressed up in costumes!

I think about my dog, Bart, all the time. He was one in a million, rhe way he would get dressed up in costumes of all kinds. His best was the one he wore, when I drove him out to New York to get him on national tv in his Halloween costume. He was dresses up as the Wolf dressed as Grandma, and I was Little Red Riding Hood. You could not believe all of the New Yorkers that were taking pictures of him with their cell phones!

I must admit my dog, Bart, used to get excited when I brought ou t any fabric to sew for him. It was like he knew he was doing something special, and he really loved it. If you go to my website, “My Bart’s Place.com”, and go to, Articles, you can read some of the newspaper articles that were written about him. He was pretty well known throught Madison and Oshkosh, as well as Butte des Morts, and Winneconne.

I just thought that I would add that even though my 3 girls get dressed up in costumes, and enter all the local parades, they don’t have the same enthusiasm that Bart had. Which is why I said, he was one in a million!

Last Easter I got an order for a lamb’s costume for a sheep dog! The owner sent me a picture, and it was really great! I love being able to honor Bart, by making costumes for other animals. I had an order to make a costume for a pig, but he wouldn’t sit still to be measured!! Oh well!

I never even had a dog until I had Bart. I have since grown to add 3 dogs to even begin to replace the hole that Bart left in my heart when he died. But he had a good life and lived to be 11 3/4 years old, which is old for a Rottweiler!
